About Us

Tomo’s denim obsession began when he was working at a vintage store in Japan. It struck him that every pair of vintage jeans has its individual characteristics, with the indigo fading and aging because of the way each owner wore them. The obsession eventually brought him to the United States, the mother country of jeans. While working as a denim fabric supplier, he learned extensively about denim fabrics and production processes, eventually teaching himself pattern making and sewing with the goal of making his own bespoke jeans with the denim fabrics he knows so well.

Atlantic Standard aims to produce timeless garments that can be worn every day for years to come, creating a perfect balance of simplicity, functionality, and durability through craftsmanship.
