Measurement guide

Note that all measurements must be taken on a pair of well fitting, non-stretch jeans in order for your Atlantic Standard jeans to fit properly.

Waist

Lay jeans flat and align front and back waistband lines, pressing out any wrinkles. Measure from across the top of the waistband. The measurement times two is the waist size. The measurement is 35.5”(=17.75” x 2) in this picture.

Front Rise

Measure from the base of the crotch to the top of the waistband along the front fly.  

The measurement is 13” in the photo.

Back Rise

Similar to measuring the front rise, measure from the base of the crotch to the top of the waistband along the center back seam.

The measurement is 16.75” in the picture.

Upper hip

With the jeans laid flat, measure across the jeans 6” below the top of the waistband . The measurement times two is your hip size. The correct measurement n this picture 39”(=19.5” x 2)”

Lower Hip

With the jeans laid flat measure across the jeans 9” below the top of the waistband, from side to side. The measurement times two is your hip size. The correct measurement is 41.5”(=20.75” x 2) in this picture.

Upper Thigh

With jeans laid out on a flat surface start the measuring tape at the corner of where the back rise shows (refer to photo), and measure straight across to the very edge of the jeans.

The measurement is 12.75” in the picture.

Thigh

With jeans laid out on a flat surface, measure the width of the thigh point from side to side, in the same way as the top thigh measurement is taken. The thigh point is 4” below the point where the leg inseams meet the front and back rise when the jeans are laid flat.

The measurement is 11” in the picture.

Knee

Measure the width of the knee point from side to side, in the same way as the thigh measurement is taken. The knee point is 13” below the inseam from where the back rise shows when the jeans are laid flat.  

The measurement is 8.75” in the picture.

Calf

Measure the width of the calf point from side to side in the same way as the top thigh measurement is made. The calf point is 19” below the inseam from where the back rise shows when the jeans are laid flat.  

The measurement is 8.25” in the picture.

Hem

Same as for the knee and calf measurement, keep the jeans flat and measure straight across the lower hem.

The measurement is 7.5” in the picture.

Inseam

With jeans laid flat, measure the length along the inseam from the point where the back rise shows to the lower hem. 

The measurement is 33” in the picture.
